About tour
This private tour will take you out of Sydney to show you the best spots and stunning natural locations along the Pacific Ocean coast south of Sydney. In the morning you will drive along Botany Bay past popular local beaches and visit Captain Cook’s landing place where all modern Australian history began and will hear the story about the first contact with aboriginal people. You will then explore the magestic Royal National Park, which is the oldest national park in Australia. You will walk through the ancient eucalyptus forest looking at termite hills and endemic plants and trees listening to the sounds of local birds and explanations from your tour guide. Our tour guide will take you to one of our secret spots to feed wild cockatoos in the forest. You will visit an amazing natural ocean lagoon with a watefall and stand on top of another tall waterfall in the midst of rainforest and then drive though beautiful rainforest to a lookout on the edge of the Pacific ocean. We will stop for lunch at a scenic restaurant on mountain top with a 180 degree panorama of the Pacific coast and the ocean to have a delicious meal with a glass of wine. After lunch we will continue travelling to stunning locations along the coast with stops to feed wild pelicans on a scenic lake and a visit to the largest Buddhist temple in the Southern hemisphere, where you will look inside the temple and walk to the top of the hill with a gorgeous view to ring the Wishing bell and make a wish before driving back to Sydney. On our way back to Sydney we will stop at a secret location to try and see the amazing glowworms which reside as a large colony inside a very dark abandoned tunnel. This will require some patience and perseverence from you as we will walk inside the dark tunnel with torches but all efforts will be redeemed when you finally see thousands of living glowing lights in the dark. As an alternative option we can visit a local animal park* for you to get close with many Australian animals, play with kangaroos, pat an emu, see koalas and a rare white echidna. This will be a recommended option for families with children. Like all our private tours, this will be another unforgettable day full of new discoveries even for those who have lived in Sydney for a long time. The tour will start at your hotel or another location in central Sydney (we can pick you up at your cruiseship, train station, airport* or a private home). After the tour we will drop you off at your desired location in central Sydney. The tour is performed by our professional English speaking driver guide using a comfortable air-conditioned vehicle of your choice.
